Is the move to Tranmere in order to give him some experience or is it a sign that Flitcroft doesn't think he has a future at the club?

Another of the many signed for the "development squad" that maybe hasn't developed. How long before the likes of Cofie, Knight etc are farmed out.

Most clubs use the loan market to give fringe/developing players some vital experience. Playing in the youth and reserve sides just doesn't compare to first team football where the pressure is on to perform.

We haven't done that so well over recent years, so it's great to see some of the lads go out, and in Jones' case to a club at a higher level than he's played previously. If we can arrange moves for Rose, Cofie, Knight and others, then I don't see how it could hurt to let them go out?

I thought he did okay when called upon at the end of last season. I would think it is a similar situation as Jordan Clarke, where Flicker felt while being on the fringes of the first team, he wasn't really benefitting from the U21 matches any longer. As KFC says, there is no substitute for competitive games and the management will be carefully selecting the right situation, then assessing the player's progress from there.
