I see Andranik is already getting stick after two matches. Well imho, the main reason he was relatively ineffective yesterday was thast he had to spend most of the game explainong to Anderson how to play the bloody diamond formation. Drop Anderson to the bench and let Andranik get on with playing football for a while then judge him rather than let him carry the can for our "Brazilian legend" who needs a kick up the backside!

    Rant over

TBH I didn't really see it as a diamond yesterday

    More a straight 4-3-1-2
A diamond would have offered a little more width. Unfortunately, Andranik, Anderson and Colace were all essentially jostling for the same position which made us tight at the back but lacking in creativity. I was impressed with Andranik at Hillsborough. I thought he was tenacious and hard working with good control and skill in possession. However, he was the weakest of the 3 for me yesterday. We have an out-and-out left sided wide man in Hammill. I'd put him in for either Anderson or Andranik and go back to 4-4-2 at home. I think shutting up shop might pull us some much-needed points on the road but lets have arses-on-pews football at home please :)

Anderson was the weakest of the three yesterday

Needed subbing earlier than he was and we should have gone with more width
