Can't help feeling uncomfortable about murdoch's fingers massaging this situation.

Funny how all this stuff is suddenly appearing though isn't it?
Certainly in comparison to the 'chosen one', whether you like her or not I think its pretty obvious there is an establishment campaign of dirty tricks in full flow to try to keep May who is nearer one of their own than an 'outsider'.

Bang on - compare & contrast how she & Corbyn are treated as opposed to the more malleable ones in either party.

Spot on. Both are really nasty cnuts and I'd rather neither be in charge but it's crazy how quickly you can see the media in action making their candidate a worthy hero against the "villain". Not showing those go home buses anymore I see. In fact I'd suspect that is entirely the reason. May is so disagreeable the only way to build her up is to make her a sympathetic figure and attack the opponent.

Good point about Corbyn up there, too.

Can't believe I'd actually defend The Times, but it does seem their headlines are exactly what Loathsome told them. Not quite sure what her outright denials are doing to help her case. Mind you, she does have the appalling Louise Mensch in her corner on Twitter, so all's well.

She was on the radio this morning and she made it very clear that her comments were purposely printed out of context. She said that she never intended to make it sound like having children made her a better candidate for PM and she said she repeatedly made this clear to the Times journalist during the interview.

I've heard the interview - she definitely made a distinction between parents & non- parents - I don't agree with her but The Times headline is a piss take.

The transcript's on line - can't print it on here but shows how she's been misrepresented. Rushing to judge really isn't appropriate.

If you are ever interviewed by a journalist record the conversation. They ALWAYS twist your comments. That is from personal experience.

I can't remember the name of the TV series but it had the world being taken over by aliens that had the faces of lizards. Theresa May reminds me of one of those... mid change. As you say, the other one is just awful. If only we had all voted REMAIN. We would still have had that nice David Cameron as PM.

Sky News have played the interview tape. What is reported is exactly what she said. Murdoch or no Murdoch, she has shown enormous lack of judgement here - to add to the bogus CV and the about-turn on her comments about the disastrous economic consequences of Brexit. She is a stranger to the truth.

Folk may not like Theresa May but while Corbyn continues his buffoonery she's the best option for the country - in my humble opinion.

    What buffoonery is this ?
The same buffoonery that Murdoch decides to whichever party he wants to support and to which candidate ,cause he supports .
Or is it Corbyn ignoring the media's preferred policies and sticking with Party members and the majority of anti austerity / low paid people he is representing.
The media's repetitive character assassination of him isn't the norm ,
Marvellous that everyone calls the Westminster elite but as soon as change is in sight they gang together with the press and kill the mimentum.
I was for remain my party leader was half hearted because although it was party policy it wasn't really his in truth.
I can forgive that after all it was the people's decision not his campaign that caused Brexit .
But his opposition to policies for the few and empowering the majority are more important and that's why some MPs sided by the media scumbags are using everything to unseat him

Spot on. He is the only major political figure in my lifetime to be anywhere near my worldview and in this time where politics is becoming more and more right wing it makes me feel a hell of a lot more engaged than I would otherwise be. Even traded out my membership to the greens for labour because of Corbyn.

All of which become irrelevant because he hasn't got a prayer of ever being elected , although unbelievably it will get even worse next week when Angela Eagle err swoops in with her challenge
