Andrea Radrizzani: Italian businessman completes Leeds United takeover

Radrizzani had purchased a 50% stake in the club in January with a view to buying the remaining 50% from fellow Italian Massimo Cellino.

The deal brings an end to Cellino's three-year spell at Elland Road.

Radrizzani, who has also become the club's chairman, said: "This is a long-term commitment with a lot of hard work ahead of us."

"Massimo has created a sound platform for me to take Leeds into a new era."

Cellino added: "I have been proud to work at Leeds United, with nice people who have worked at the club with me.

"I have always taught people to work for the club and not for me and in the end the staff have done so in a beautiful way."

I'm going to stick my neck out here and say he'll promise investment which won't come, be subject to some fit and proper investigation by the F.A, sack Monk (if he remains there) after 6 games when they're 14th and leave under a cloud a year or so later.

And they still won't get promoted.

 

I wonder if he'll continue with Cellino's bizarre pie tax.
