No wonder Dallas was sent to Scotland he’s a shocking player, his 1st touch is horrendous and he’s looked nowhere near good enough for even the National League.

It confirms to me that these days players are brought in on recommendation rather than proper scouting. How he was expected to be good enough for EFL is beyond me!

I think it’s fair to say you’ll be getting him back!!

Wasn't he the top scorer in that division last season?

They're not brought in on recommendation (other than odd ones i.e Oulare with Conway iirc), it's all data bud. Mixed with age, physique etc etc. We will get plenty of duds I imagine, hopefully not at the expense of someone better though. Shaw, Dallas and a couple of others have been horrendous signings. No denying that. Nathan James & Atkinson look like 2 that could work though. Fingers crossed.

1 goal for us in 96th minute when opponents had already thrown the towel in ages before. None in 15 at Kilmarnock (but 1 assist). None in 14 at Oldham.
Edit. see Ollie Shaw is doing just as good at Motherwell, No goals in 18 games, 2 assists

Don’t come round here kicking off, it’s us who should be kicking off after you stole our best striker!!!

How’s Nors doing? I really miss him.

Just proves the statistics system does not work either for players or managers/coaches

No problem whatsoever with signings like Dallas, I'm all for it and definitely worth a gamble but that is when he is complimenting a couple of other established strikers. To be fair I would have been happy with the Cosgrove signing if it had happened in August, just shows everyone is a gamble.

The club have egg on their face after that stupid 'sIgN a StRiKeR' comment after the port vale match, absolute clowns behind the scenes.

I have when they are lauded as replacements for established first team players who have left....no problem with lower league gambles who may or may not make the the step up but let's not dress them as anything other...and agree entirely on the clubs media output its cringey as **** at times.........sithi.

I could easily quote Connell/Helik/Andersen/Morris/Duff etc and say they do work?

Data is great tool but everyone uses it nowadays so unless your prepared to use it wisely and be willing to spend as much as the next man then it means jack **** we carry on sometimes like its unique to us and gives us some kind of advantage, but when the filters are set to 352, cheap, low wages, under 25 then your ******* in the wind with it tbh

    This,
no coincidence that when we started we were more of an exception to the rule outside of the PL.
As more clubs resorted to this partly due to successes of others and partly reduced costs it became harder for us to compete as the clubs we had moved away from because we couldn’t compete started fishing in the same pond again.
Probably still the way forward but perhaps just needs constant tweaking.
