Praising the Board on spending over 1 million on new players, ( and rightly so ). But had a little jibe at them for the dispute between the Club and radio Sheffield. Lets get the commentry back Mr Shepherd pretty please. (chinny)
Also mentions the Liverpool lad that got shot..................is it me...or OR Is this thing with this young guy absolutly berserk A young guy gets shot through the neck and his parents stand inside two football grounds with their Everton kit on WTF...........is all that about Are these people so sad that in times of such greive they have to turn to a sort of clan Is the country turning into some sort of tribal community where your identity belongs only with the football team you support ??? If my lad had got shot the last thing I'd be thinking about is foooooking football !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RE: Also mentions the Liverpool lad that got shot..................is it me...or Ive got to admit Nudger I thought it was a little bit odd. Personally, I wouldn't have thought going to a football match would be up there on my priorities if it was me.
Football could be the new religion I suppose, Football could be the word of God , a football could be a God though.
What do you think the parents should be doing?

If that had happened to me.........................honestly, I wouldn't go to a football match probably ever AGAIN.................................full stop......period
RE: If that had happened to me.........................honestly, I wouldn't go to a football match How can somebody being shot on the street stop you from wanting to go to football? Just interested like.
Years ago the BBC did a documentry on how football effects lives, Some guys 12 or 13 year old son died of cancer , the lad was a massive Man City fan and in the 7 or 8 years he had been following them they had been rubbish , then the day he died Man City got promoted back to Division 1 (Premier League) hisDad was on saying how he didnt know how to react to the news as one of the worst days of his life had coincided with one of his happiest. Hecelebrated Man City going up as he knew how much it would have meantto his son.

RE: Also mentions the Liverpool lad that got shot..................is it me...or I think it was more of an attempt to keep it in the public eye in hope that someone would come forward and grass on the ******* that did it.
RE: Also mentions the Liverpool lad that got shot..................is it me...or It could also be a sort of therapy for them to help them cope with the grief.
How would they benefit from shutting themselves off from the world?

Have you ever been in that situation? No so how do you know how you would react? Foortball was his life - it was a gesture to remember him and celebrate his life. It happens up and down the country - people being remembered at matches - why is this one different?
Everton have had a difficult year with regards tragic deaths - six young lads killed in Iraq have been Evertonians znd had a minutes silence - I taught one of them when he was 9 - it's a moving tribute and b rought everyone together

Parents will know If your child gets killed in such tragic circumtances while coming back from playing football The last thing you would want as a parent is to be reminded in any way, shape or form of the game of football Football is very important to me - BUT............there are much much more important priorities
Everyone is the same are they? Maybe they like doing things they know the little lad enjoyed doing?
Have you contacted them to point out the error of their ways?

six young lads killed in Iraq have been Evertonians You will find that these guys had more going for them and had more important things in their lives than being Everton FC fans So why label them as Evertonians ? Those guys were sons, brothers, fathers and friends of people dear to them................football is so insignificant in such times When I die I hope to God I am remembered more than just a TARN fan....................FFS
As I said you would not know how to react in that situation Are you a parent? Do you know what you'd do? You need to be here see the depth of feeling . Football is a massive part of people's lives in this area and it is a way of bringing people together. I went to one lads funerals and he was proud to be seen as an Evertonian as well as a son and a boyfriend - that came across from his parents and brother who did a reading at the service. They were grateful for the consideration that Everton showed towards their son!

Football is massive all over the country And if the young guy is honoured by everton then thats great What I am saying here is that Everton Football Club seems to be the centre piece of the grieve There are degrees that you can involve the football club But surely it shouldn't be the thing that is utmost for the grief Sat at a football match when their son has been shot....................if thats all they have got in life then I do surely feel sorry for them
RE: six young lads killed in Iraq have been Evertonians

So do I but being a TARN fan is very much a big part of my life and so I do want part of my memory to be as aTARN fan. FFS.
