Not only is hill putting us down, this dee-dar lovely person's trying to do an'all! that last reds fan was spot on with his comparison of millwall and the ***** cut him off. Oh the power of the media and the mute button. Is it a pre-requisite of dee-dar radio presenters to cut folk off talking sense and realistic critisism about their clubs and when the commentaors disagree they must cut them off? fookin rubbish radio sheffield!!!!
What was said here?? i heard some guy saying c palace were doing well with no money and giddings tried. Saying cp would not be at the top for long. more or less said the caller was wrong to compare us to crystal palace
last season one or two on radio sheff were thinking it might not be a bad idea if we went down so we could regroup..now they are realising it could cost us 5 or 6 million,,
Andy G is not a dee-dar. I think he is pretty unbiased and balanced with all the fans of the local clubs unlike some of the other presenters on the station.
The comparison with Millwall isn't spot on, they've had the same gaffer for 4/5 years, allowed him to build and got a settled squad.
Agreed, but we've got some good players too. Just need time. My point is that people look at Millwall and think we're comparable. The fact they've had the same manager and players like Trotter playing for 4 years in this league shows the importance of consistency and patience.
To be fair to andy giddings he was just backing Keith hill, the caller was more or less saying that it's time for hill to go and we've only got to look at how other clubs are doing Inc palace with little or no money, giddings was pointed out that we've the smallest budget in the league and that behind closed doors hill is working hard to get more loan players in to try and solve the slump, he didn't really cut him off, he gave him plenty of air time he just said we've got to move on.
I didn't listen yesterday but I have noticed that they will often let a Wednesday fan drone on and on without being particularly coherent or making any interesting points yet I've heard a lot of our fans come on, make a good point whilst speaking fairly eloquently and the presenter will just say "thanks for your call" and move on to the next Wednesday fan who says exactly the same thing as the last seven folk. Don't get me wrong, a lot of our fans that ring up really shouldn't have bothered as all they do is compound the stereotype of a person from Barnsley but at the end of the day it's a station based in Sheffield, most of the listeners are from Sheffield and all they really want to do is talk about how both their clubs should be in the Premier League just because they sometimes have 27000 fans in the ground.
They always seem to let 'Alan from Castleford' have a good go, even if it is the same grumble every week.
