I think we should back out of the deal and bank the money and use it come January should we need to, At 31 he is past his best and now cup tied, better use the cash on another player!!

Sheffield United won't do Bussiness with us, So thats out of the question. Stead is a regular and would cost a lot for the fee and wages. You need to lower you're expectancy on the players you want to come in.

Stead is on a right hefty wage at Ipswich, no way can we afford him.

What have Sheffield United got to do with it?

    Stead left them in 2008

Looking at our squad of players i think were past 600k 31 year old players now there not bringing anything to the team any more that we don't already have i honestly think when we have players like Hume and Bogdanavic we have to be looking at players in the same sort of class as stead and sharp if were wanting to bring players in to push what we have already

I still think it'd been a good signing

Hume and Gray up front, fit and on form, is a partnership capable of getting us into the top 6 imho.

    Agree.

Top six maybe a bit over the top though. We could do with somebody like Gray to benefit from Hammill's crosses and work alongside Hume.

Doesn't make good reading from BBC, but perhaps he just doesn't want to be there:-

Charlton's Andy Gray somehow managed to head wide with an open goal to aim at in the first half.

And the striker had a penalty saved after he was fouled by Richard Rose.

    Starting 11, no

I think the front two need to have an all-round game, Bogo is ideal as an impact player to come on when the opposition are tired. The starting pair up front need to graft, battle, work back and link up well, not sure Bogo ticks all the boxes yet, his goal scoring record stands up but in the games he's started last season, I thought he didnt contribute enough. That said, I'd pick him over Macken at the moment.

    Exactly

Never looked the fittest player when I've seen him. Definately a 'poacher' and exactly the kind of player to bang on with half an hour to go with a big man.
