Always believed, given the right style, he would be a star for us. Showed his class today, give him the ball to feet or body and he can create space and draw 2 or 3 defenders in, not the quickest, but he's got a touch and vision which Davies I'm afraid doesn't. I liked the way hill had him come back and defend Martin Taylor's set piece moves, Hill obviously did his homework there - very specific plan. Reckon Gray ran Perkins close for most distance covered today!!
Got to agree about Gray, two very good performances by him now. Hill seems to be getting the best out of him.
Do you ever have anything positive to say - because at the moment all your posts are so negative they are basically trolling Oh and I did see him at Millwall and he put in a shift like everyone else did He isnt my favourite player but you can rarely criticise he effort and definitely not this season
Agree Gray was poor at Millwall, but he'd been out injured and was hastily brought in I think due to other injuries... Hill said himself at Reading Gray was on the bench but wasn't fully fit... These last two games he's played very well. I like the look of Davies as well so positive signs
How can you say Davies hasnt got the touch or vision we havent seen enough of him yet (Competative wise) so you carnt really judge a player who hasnt played although 10 out of 10 yesterday for Gray but its a pitty he carnt play like that every time he starts.
He played well and put the effort in but he's never going to pull any trees up or develop into a world better. It'll be interesting to see how/if Davies develops.
I didn't think Gray had the passion in him, but you can't knock the effort that he's putting in at present.
I have plenty of positive things to say. Just not about an ageing striker with a 1 in 5 strike rate who is only here because of a clause in his contract. If you though he put a shift in at Millwall then you are easier to please than me.
Re: Andy Gray..........aint good enough ........he runs his socks off but i think he is a good 1st Division player and not good enough for this league We need someone else with quality to lead the attack
Correct-a-Mario! Hilly seems to be getting the best out of Fozzy too who looks close to his best. Butts, Steele, Jimbo, theyve also looked more impressive thus far, under Keith Hill. Yes we have won only 1 game, BUT, since Boro, we havent even looked like losing. But we certainly look like winning. Im hoping Crrraaaiiig is back ASAP, and Reubenio and Done too.. Like I say, its a point a game, just 1 win, which sounds worrying. But if you take alsorts into consideration - not just stats that certain ppl keep quoting - and also the last 4 improving performances, there are definite grounds for optimism. IMO like. Others may disagree.
Foster said at the end of last aeason that he hadnt felt fit for most of that season and the season before.
