Watched cup final on Sky cause I hate John Motson....but when Liverpool had a goal disallowed for offside and it looked very close then they did score just a minute or 2 later Andy Gray kept going on about how it should be 2-2! FFS NO! If that 1st had gone in then the 2nd one wouldn't have come about because they whole play in the next few minutes would have been entirely different! (banghead)
Robbed another trophy Liverpool 2 finals No wins 2 trophies Just when I thought I couldn't despise them more!
Hardly.. Would you be complaining if we'd drawn both legs against Huddersfield and won on penalties, and then drawn in the final and won on penalties? I know I wouldn't. A win is a win, and they didn't rob anything. Penalties was the only way that game could end because neither side deserved to lose it in the 120 minutes, an excellent game of football, and Liverpool deserved to win because they put the ball in the net more times than West Ham. Thats the fact of the matter. They certainly didn't rob it - wasn't as if they cheated to win a penalty or anything.
RE: Andy Gray-back to BBC then East Stander ? Liverpool scored three stunning goals but West Hams goals were as bad as Liverpools were good.
RE: The phrase stevie is Scum of the earth. oh don't be like that!! beatles, cilla, gerry & the pacemakers etc ,etc come from that fair city . not to mention paul o grady ff it's a right drinking spot an all ....(raiseaglass)
"they whole play in the next few minutes"
And I thought you double check everything you type
Shocking

I never agree with you, but..... on this occasion I'm afraid I do. Typical thieving scousers, STOLE the FA Cup today!
yeah, nowt to do with a team never giving up until the final whistle... Wish more teams "stole" games this way
RE: Hardly.. Well of course I woudn't complain if we won on penalties but it's a ridiculous way to decide something so important.
Whichever way you look at it.. There was one difference between the two teams. Steven Gerrard. An absolute genius, and if he'd been on West Ham's team, or on neither side, West Ham would have won the game. Two goals and an assist, simply outstanding.
RE: Whichever way you look at it.. There wasn't any differance between the 2 - hence 3-3! Steven Gerrard didn't win them the game he drew them the game!
They'd have lost but for Steven Gerrard... And they wouldn't have won the tie if Gerrard hadn't scored a brilliant last minute goal. Pedantically or non-pedantically, they won the game as a result of Gerrards last minute goal when they seemed dead and buried.
