I agree possibly MOTM because he tries hard and did today, but thats it, he int a footballer... cant do nothing with the ball.. useless infact.
Opinion (hidebehindsofa)
And that Ricketts foookinell fire... what a bag of *****.

Disagree on both shouts Johnson seemed to go in for a hell of a lot of challenges (headers/tackles), and won most of them, then seemed to try and play a simple ball...he suprised me.
Also I rate Ricketts, problem was, every time he ran at their defenders, there wasn't a reds player anywhere near him which left him with far too much to do. Also, he seemed to link up well with Odejayi when the big lad came on

Tbh mate, even though they both play the same position, I think they are quite different players. I am a Togwell fan - he seems to have lots of running / closing down in him, but a couple of things I dont like about him. Firstly, he isn't imposing enough for me (ie will hols up the opposition rather than attempt a strong tackle) and secondly his distribution is very poor. He does, however, have time on his side. Johnson, on the other hand, isn't quick enough, but isn't scared to tackle. Also decent in the air too. Ideally we could do with making one player out of the 2 of them - then we'd have a superstar on our hands. Unfortunately that isn't going to happen. So when we play agaionst strong, physical sides it has to be Johnson. But when we play against quicker, more fluid sides then it has to be Toggers.
Who me?
Cos your opinion on someone is actually right over my opinion is it?
he's **** like ricketts..

Johnson...strong in the tackle, good passer of the ball, seems to be a good catch by Davey if he can keep it up. Ricketts...flashes of talent, but was always doubled up on, should've done better with the chance he had in the 2nd half.
i completly disagree with you ldred jonhson coudn't pass to save his life he just hoofed it up field to nobody
There was one instance in the first half he won the ball and set someone away down the left with a beautifully dink through 3 Coventry players. I thought he had an impressive league debut. But, it's all about opinions
I'm very pleased that We have both Johnson AND Togwell in our squad . Even if someone doesn't particularly rates Johnson , I'd argue that he's far superior to the players used as alternatives to Togwell last season (Wroe,Healey,Williams,Mattis).
Johnson looked good... Lack of pace may be a concern but a solid enough player. Ricketts looked tricky at times - not the best debut ever, admittedly, but some flashes of serious potential. The fact he regularly had two men marking him hints at the respect opposition managers have for him. Pick of the bunch is Kayo - strong, quick and a decent touch...
It depends , if we are in front then I think he will stay on as we look to lock a game down.
However if we are behind he doesnt seem to serve much purpose.

Didnt Davey say in the programme that the players had told him this was the fittest they have ever been.
