Andy "Joker" Ritchie's tactical masterclass....

this week, we will mainly be switching centre halves to right wing and dropping crowd favourite dwarves. We will go a goal down and with 20 mins left start panicking (again, see "Scunny"). We will stick another centre forward on and take off a midfielder. Thus, we have no need for the midfield to create owt, they can run around looking lost while the forwards will be supplied by 40 yard balls from defence. The forwards will never look like scoring in a million years. Let's take off a defender and put the "creative" Shuker on. The team is now 3-4-3 and we are all over the place. Again. Tho fair play to Ritchie, at least he never sent on a 4th forward today.

Altho we lost the one class act we have in Chopra, I was semi-optimistic for a better season (note, "better" not "good") as we couldn't possibly have a worse manager than Paul Hart.

    I think I was wrong.

ah but he was prepared to put the club before his own ambitions to get the job.

Only manager I know of that gets the job after losing 5-0 to Port Vale!!!

    ps, forgot to mention...

taking off Robbie and deciding Burns is a left midfield player. (Robbie had just delivered an excellent cross, so I doubt he was injured)

    I'd like to say I'm surprised and that it's a one-off, but...

hang on, before rumour becomes fact...

My 1st and only choice was a Mr D. Wilson of Milton Keynes.

    so ner.

Ritchie - well, let's just say I wasn't carried away by the opening 6 games and I remember he did f*** up tactically to throw away a lead another game. But the 2 away games this season - well, it's junior school football tictacs. P*** poor.

    I'll tell you summingk...

Nothing annoys me more than that that f***ing god awful "and if you are a Wednesday fan surrender..." etc...f*** me. You f***ing village idiots get wound up by some "big" team down the road who'll NEVER be anything...etc

    A couple of things:
    1. I'm not from Barnsley, so I understand Wednesday's place in the scheme of things
    2. I still don't live in Barnsley, or even near, so why would I want to support Sheffield Wednesday?

If that lot of non-achieving numpties raise any kind of awareness within yourself, get yourself there. Otherwise, you'll have to tell me YOUR view of Ritche and Col U/Scunny ("oh, I didn't go, had a hairdressing appointment")

    I was at both

Scnuthorpe = any other day a couple of them chances would have gone in and we'd have won 3-1.Okay we weren't fantastic, but 2nd half we played a whole lot better. Can't knock tactics in game, player performances yes

Colchester = Very very poor performance from just about everybody, now its easy to blame Ritchie. He's held his hand up and admitted dropping Shooks was a mistake. For what ever reason the players didn't look bothered,a very poor attitude, similiar to last season at times.Bearing in mind the squad is essentially same, the buck stops with the players. Why didn't Reidy tell Colgan to stop kicking towards Williams everytime? Whay can't 11 footballers realise that after 20mins lumping ball up to forwards isn't working? They shouldn't need manager to tell em that.

Only criticism of Ritchie saturday was he adopted the old Harty pose(leaning aginst dugout),he should have been having to be restrained by 4th official it was that poor a performance.

Ritchie will get it right and so will the players,we'll hopefully win next two home games and this episode will be a distant memory.

"Hello hello we are the barnsley boys, hello hello we are the barnsley boys"

One word for Wednesday = RIVALRY.If you grow up in S.Yorks as a kid whether it be Barnsley,Rotherham,Donny and you don't support fowls, then you hate em.Simple as

The players do as they are instructed...

so if a tactic is failing it's up to the youth coach and physion sorry manager and assistant to change things...

    apologies Swinton...

I was a tad drunk last nite.

But it still annoys me that ppl even give Washday this sense of importance. Ppl should get behind BFC...not sing daft songs about Washday fans. Rivalry? I thought they had another team in their city?

Anyway, I know they're always trying to tell us they don't give a s*** about us. (I know, they tell us a little TOO much...so I suspect we do get under their skin more than they let on)
