    BARNSLEY boss Andy Ritchie returned from his holidays this week and immediately got back down to the business of getting together a squad capable of competing in the championship.

    Back page of chronicle:
    Ritchie last night spoke to the Chronicle just before flying out for a week's holiday - and admitted: "I expect transfer activity to start hotting up all over the country in the next couple of weeks or so.
