if we replaced him with a proper manager I would have said NO! but they did not so YES YES YES!!!!!! Simple Simon stick to coaching the kids!!! maybe in a few years time you'll be ready but this job is to big for you now!
Don't forget he was the man who maintaines that Richards, Wright, Hayes and Heckingbottom were the players good enough to keep us in this league.The mistake was not in sacking Ritchie but in not bringing in a proper manager to take his place
WRONG He was the one that said there wasn't anyone better who would come to Barnsley at the time and if all you have left is sub standard players you DONT tell them that otherwise their morale goes and with it the rest of the team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Just like Wise at Leeds ...when he arrived he said they were all not good enough and he would replace them .... so why should they try?) AND WITH HINDSIGHT ...... Have we got any better players now since Ritchie left???????????????????
