REDS boss Andy Ritchie has today spoken of his frustration as he looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the transfer deadline.


Speaking exclusively to the Official Website, Andy said: "We were trying really hard yesterday to bring someone new to the club but were left very frustrated by a lot of people. We asked about a lot of centre forwards and central defenders but did not really get anywhere.


"We were quoted a price of £300,000 for a centre forward from League Two which we feel is just silly money - not that we have that kind of cash to throw around anyway.


"We will keep trying today but we have to make sure that we do not just bring someone in for the sake of it - we need to get someone who will improve what we already have".
