You refuse an offer of signing Kevin Horlock then give away your player of the season.

Out of order, you would have ripped off anyones arm for this place and gap to automatic a year ago

    Maybe so.

I just feel its very disapointing that we could be in a stronger position if we have made a couple of different decisions.

    Likewise pal

We all wish we should have signed him,we should have won that game,we shoudn't have played him etc etc

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but and its a big BUT we are sat 6th in league tonight, 3 points off automatic, despite what might have made it better we are still on course for post-season action.Offer that to Donny,Forest,Bristol City,Hartlepool,Tranmere and they won't need asking twice

We have a young team that will only get better, not many people expected us to still be up here at this stage if at all except for a few optimistic reds,Some on here even tipped us for relegation. We have overachieved as a unit manager + team in their first full season together

7 games to go.Lets do it

    Its not the recent results.

Its the performances that are a cause for concern,we dont appear to have a player who can change a game that has 0-0 written all over it.

So you think a comment saying Ritchie & Shepherd should hang their heads in shame?

Because we didn't sign a certain player and let one go is a fair comment do you?

Despite all they have done for this football club to bring back some pride, passion and good football

Some Barnsley fans amaze me at times

    Pride passion and good football?

Where, because the 11 today were sadly lacking all of the above.

What could Horlock have done that was different?

Our central midfield was well on top all the game yesterday. What could Horlock have done against a ten man defence?

So do you not rate Macca and Howard then LT?

Howard is our biggest goal threat from midfield and is playing really well, Macca is also playing well. Both way above what Burns is capable of.

The defence did ok yesterday as did midfield except Shukes (who needs a rest.) We didnt ein because of 2 or 3 good saves from the Keeper and a bad decision from the ref disallowing a perfectl good goal.

Your understanding of football is different to most.

This site is a miserable f*ckin hot bed of low rent discontented f*ck wits that really don't give a **** and can't see past thier bragging rites on a Monday morning.
    Grow the f*ck up.
I'm sure a businessman like Gordon Shepherd must scratch his head in disbelief when he sees postings like this.
From nowt to play off contenders and some are STILL f*ckin mithering.
    I'm f*ckin staggered.

    RE: If as you say

I have no idea. It certainly never used to be like this, optimism was ALL 10 years ago. Not now. All I see these days is spoilt, I want it all, and I want it now juvenile mentality that fails to understand the meaning of supporting and following a club - the club of most peoples birth and youth.
No, it's a f*ckin nonsense. 45 years with this club and the 'support' has NEVER been this bad.
6th. with still a damn good chance of going up automatic and people are CRITICAL????!
F*ck me dead! I'm glad we're not in a relegation battle.
Mind you, that would suite some of the psuedo down-trodden on here.

    'pseudo' was the old board.

People were critical on this board (its earlier version) 10 years ago just as they are today, the only thing that has changed is numbers have increased.

"give away your player of the season"

kinell fire, Burns was sold (not given away) becasue he wants to go to the world cup. If we kept him he would have been unhappy.

Brian Howard has slotted alongside Mcphail really well and has been superb. Like Terry Nutkins said in an earlier post Howard was very close to winning the MOTM award on Saturday and he had a perfectly good goal ruled out. I say well done Brian Howard. Up the reds.
