REDS boss Andy Ritchie gave his thoughts ahead of tomorrow's clash with Yeovil Town.

He said: "We are just waiting on Daniel Nardiello at the moment after he had a little problem with his hamstring. It all comes down to his neural problem and it is a little sore. We are giving him every chance and will have a check up on him tomorrow morning.

"It has been getting better every day. He had a scan earlier this week and there is no tear and no bleeding so we know it is all down to the neural problem. We think it was caused by a little fatigue after we had a tough day on Tuesday and then Daniel went to do a little extra shooting work in the afternoon. He felt a bit sore so we stopped him from training.

"If there is any doubt at all then he will not play against Yeovil and Barry Conlon will take his place in the team.

"Barry has been patient and we did not fire at all up front last week. I would have liked to have given Daniel and Paul Hayes another chance but if Daniel misses out then Barry has his chance to impress.

"Paul played very well alongside Steve Torpey at Scnuthorpe last season and could forge the same sort of partnership with Barry. Barry likes to bring the ball down and play others in while Paul can get in the channels and use his pace".

He added: "We have had Jamie Tandy in with us this week. He is a young lad who was released by Manchester City and someone who I have seen a lot of. He is an out and out left winger with good pace and can knock good balls in.

"He has not made the grade at City and has spent some time in Denmark. He picked up an injury over there so has not played a lot of games and is a little unfit. He is with us and will stay next week. Jamie is an exciting young player with an abundance of pace so one we could look at when he gets fit.

"We also have Lubomir Blaha from the Czech Republic. He spent last season with Aberdeen and had a trial with Reading in the summer. Reading were looking at him but did not have a space for him when they signed Leroy Lita.

"I spoke to Steve Coppell about him and he recommended that we had a look at him. He has good touch and is good in the air. He is a big lad at 6'4" and his English is quite good. He has shown up well in training and we will try to keep him here next week.

"There is a contract waiting for him back in the Czech Republic but he wants to prove himself over here. He has some experience in the UEFA Cup and has a good pedigree so we would like more time to look at him.

"The only problem is that FA and Football League rules stop us from playing him in a reserve team game. That is annoying. I know the authorities are trying to protect our own players and that has to be applauded but you cannot really make a decision on someone based on training alone.

"We would like to get him into a reserve team game where the opposition want to kick him to get the ball".

Andy said: "Yeovil came up last season and are a workmanlike side. They will be in the Gary Johnson mould and will be in our faces throughout. They all want to do well and we know that they will be well up for it.

"Yeovil work very hard and keep going for 90 minutes. They will all give 100 per cent so we know it will be a tough game".
