Good interview at the end, told the players to sit tight until 75 mins and then we would go for the point.

Great tactics, spoke well..... Still got faith in him!

For me, said it at the time

Got it wrong taking Richards off, should have been Hayes. The only bloke we have capable of holding the ball up is taken off after 6 or so minutes when we're a man down and would be under pressure for the rest of the game.
Really we should have been though, good job they were *****!

Or that should read - "glad they were ***** on the night". If we had played anywhere near our capabilities - which we showed against top of the league, Cardiff and, the then top 3 side, WBA, it may have been a far different story. Just because a team plays badly in one game, it doesn't make them a poor side, afterall a team who has had two consecutive play-off campaigns and is now sitting in 3rd place, despite not hitting top form, must have something about them!

I think the fact that our England under 21 international striker had a nightmare in front of goal is key to why we didn't score more and also I thought we lacked the motivation that Barnsley carried. It didn't help the game with you going down to 10 men because naturally the team with 11 slips into a sense of false security and feel they can play at a lesser level.

On the day you played very well and on the day, we didn't - well thats if you discount the 1st half in which we dominated. PNE had the 1st half and Barnsley had the 2nd - fair result should maybe have been 1-1, although I cannot recall any of your strikers even coming close to testing our keeper, apart from the right wing, shot-come-cross that deflected away, via the feet of Carlo Nash. (wicked)

What the f u c k? The sending off helped us???!!! It's your fault you didn't exploit the one man advantage, but its a credit to our fitness levels that after three games in a week (Wolves MK Dons and you)that we could play you off the park and deserve at least a point with only ten men for the vast majority of the match. There is no way that you can suggest that the sending off helped us. With two strikers on we would have certainly broke through.

You hardly played us off the park, chap. (NOOO) The stats clearly state PNE had 52% of the possession and we had 5 more attempts at goal! PNE hit the post and also had the more clear cut opportunities - Nugent was in on goal at least twice and held his head in disappointment for not making something of it, add to this Agyemang ballooning the ball over from 6 yards it does underline that the score could have been higher. Re-watch the footage from sky and count how many clear cut opportunities that Barnsley had?

As I said in one of my earlier posts, Barnsley played with true desire and commitment and made a real game of it and played some decent football at times and didn't look to be down to 10 men however ask any psychologist in football and they will tell you that the team playing with 10 men lift their performance and mentally focus on their job in hand, whereas the team playing with 11 drop their levels and that is my point. Of course it is down to the team with 11 men to push their advantage, although it very rarely happens that way unless the team with 10 men lose heart after going 2 or 3 down.
