Following on from Young Nudgers claims that AR refused to make signings while at Oldham and John Dillinger's post saying that he did, here are all comings and goings at Oldham whilst Andy Ritchie was manager.
It quite clearly shows that Young Nudger is right. Ritchie never brought in a single player and just look at the loyalty he showed to his present squad...
[img=http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/6379/aroqr6.gif]

Don't understand some folk All these people who complain about Ritchie never bringing anyone in seem to have been appeased by the number of players brought in not the quality.
as far as I can see, of the 4 loan signings only ronnie, [the guy who got struck with the Barnsley injury curse by getting stabbed] seems to be any better than what we already had.
To my mind we've just increased the wage bill, not the teams ability. I agree we need some new players, but they have to be an improvement surely. Admittedly results have improved but I wouldn't put this down to the new lads, it may well have happened anyway, or it might be the 'new manager' syndrome.

We'll never know what would have happened. Although there are a few on here who seem to think they know.
RE: We'll never know what would have happened. Although Shows what people know!!!! Only thing about the list are the duplicates, which would make it smaller.
Depends which way you look at it I agree the players brought in are of similar quality, possibly better in a couple of cases (Ronnie and Knight), than the starting XI we had before. However they are a massive improvement on our squad and there's no denying that. We all said the squad needed strengthening, and thats exactly what we did. Ok the players brought in aren't great but our SQUAD now is in a far better position to stay in this league.
RE: Depends which way you look at it Best benefit, competiton for places..... Simple as that. Roll on January because following on from PC's comments we should see a few more coming in
Its simple..............with the evidence we have got do we go with Shep or Ritchie ??? I'll go with Shep The evidence is there It is therefore proven the Ritchie is poor as a manager Although Like I have said - he is a good motivator of players, so second in command would be a good post for him Royle + Ritchie.........good management team
RE: It Does Not Matter, Ritchie IS History Easy for you to say, I broke my neck & I don't have a choice!ff
