He fits the criteria set by the Barnsley board and personally he would be my choice of the up and coming managers.
Andy who? if we're scouring the lower leagues to take a punt on someone who has no experience of what it takes to be successful in the Championship, we'we've no ambition. I understood and to some degree agreed with the reasoning for giving Davey time, but to appoint another rookie would be madness. If it has to be someone from the lower leagues, Paul Ince, although equally inexperienced, has a high enough profile to attract the calibre of player that we need.
shouldn't be going for lower league managers IMO even though he's highly rated, Mark Robins hasn't done much. saying that, id still give him a go if he did come
See the Yorkshire Post They are saying that Scott is the 'young man in post' that has been referred to, not Robins.
All managers are gambles. All I'm saying is if the board are going to appoint a young up and coming manager, Scott would be my choice before Robins and others mentioned.
yeah I'd be up for Andy Scott 1 - Steve Coppell 2 - Paul Jewell 3 - Andy Scott not boothroyd, adams, cotterill or robins im afraid
