I have a bee in my bonnet.Defenders holding up their hands appealing for offside. The bloke on the touchline does that job.I know they dont always get it right,BUT THEY GET IT RIGHT A DAMN SIGHT MORE THAN DEFENDERS .Who put their hand up ,often after being embarassed by an attacker who is quicker than they are. This should be made a bookable offence. It should also incurr the wrath of managers. If a defender is stood with his hand in the air ,looking at the assistant ref,he is not concentrating on what he should be doing. He should be defending.
