How can someone working as a journalist make such basic errors? Why wouldn't said journalist proof read the article before publishing?

I know grammar-wise, it's only one small mistake, but it shouldn't happen. It's something that should come as second nature. What hope is there for the kids, when the adults don't know?

Very poor indeed. Having said that, given the poor standard of writing generally nowadays - particularly grammar - I wonder how many people on here actually know what's wrong with the sentence.

It should be who's and not whose, whilst monicker should be moniker. Also, there is no full spot at the end, or a period for those over the water.

Am I right? What do I win?

Is a full spot similar to a full stop?
