Why? For trying to get the best possible price for a player? BFC has never said he's going to Sheff Utd or implied it. It's SUFC that looks stupid now.
No they're not We said nothing about selling him to Sheff Utd. It was Sheff Utd that were all mouth and they were obviously a bit previous as the deal had not been completed.
and how....... The Blunts blabbed that they had done the deal, when deal was not yet completed......... they even talked figures! this has obviously then alerted other clubs..... if anyone looks amateur and has egg on their face its Blackwell! Sheff Utd may still stump up the cash, but until signed and sealed keep details of the deal quiet..... can't knock our managment on this one. They have found themselves in a difficult situation i.e. key player has asked to leave. They felt Blades offer is below asking price and so they have looked elsewhere. Tell me how that make them look amateur. Plus I'd also like to praise board on this occassion for keeping us in the picture!
I think they are handling the situation quite well. The Club were getting hammered on here for allegedly letting him go for £9.5 million less than what he is worth.
Why do some people have to criticise every move the club makes. The management have to be applauded for holding out for a bigger sell on fee.
Talkin ****** How does it make the club look amatuerish? They need to have a sell on clause and it needs to be good enough to reward the club. What would you say if United had signed him and later on sold him for a few million and Barnsley did not have a good sell on clause and did not capitalise on that fact? bet you woudn't have said "well we should have made sure we got something but that's the way it goes!" No you would have slated the club for being amatuerish for not making sure the terms were right.
Non stop moaning. Whatever the club do or say, buy or sell, some people think they know all the ins and outs. Give it e rest FFS. Get behind the club and not against it. End of lecture.

Why does it make the club look amateur, they have made two statements, the first basicaly said B.H. didnt want to sign so he could go, no mention to where. Why is that amateurish. The second says it is BFC policy not to make transfer statements until the deal is done and dusted, but because another club has acted like amateurs by plastering it all over the press that they have signed BH when in actual fact it hasnt been finalised then they (BFC) have had to make another statement to put the fans in the picture. Irrespective were BH goes the only club that looks amateurish is Sheffield United for jumping the gun, he may well still go to SUFC, but at the moment there is another club interested. BFC have always said they will not make statements about actual transfer's until they are completed, now in my eyes that is the correct way to conduct business, they broke with that policy just a little bit yesterday by making the first statement, but they probably thought on this occaision it was the right thing to do considering the ammount of rumours that were flying about on Saturday. Get real players come and go as do managers, chairmen, owners and fans, the only constant (hopefully) is the club, at present it just survives (yes it only just survives) through the generosity of PC. There are obviously serious problems down at the well at the moment and the transfer of BH is only sympton of those problems not the cause. At the end of the day the club must survive,and they must do what is right for the club to do that and I for one am not arrogant enough to think that I know what should be done and neither does anyone on this board, despite what they have heard in the pub from the horses mouth. Sorry for long rant, dont normaly post much on here but I read sh*t like the original post and I have to let my frustrations out.
