Yes - well played England - and well played the Ozzies!

The latter are not the World Champs for nothing.

Big up to Ricky Ponting as well - what a magnificent innings
    from their Captain.

Ponting and Warne - 2 players I'd love to be on my side..

I'd suggest that if England had Warney in their side - we'd be World Champions.

The only thing we're lacking is a top-class spinner like Warney. Giles is good, but no comparison
to the Ozzie in my opinion.

    Marvellous

5 days and a fecking draw!

    (banghead)

Says a lot for England though - this is by admission a poor Australia team and they can still keep it tight against us.

    Who's admitted it's a poor Australian team?

They were at full strength in this game, I don't understand what you mean.

Vaughan did little if nothing wrong - if we'd held on to our chances and effected most of the stumpings and run-outs we'd have won at a canter. You don't declare with less than 400 on the board batting first against Australia.

They may not be a poor team, but obviously they aren't playing to the top of their ability yet.

e.g. Hayden - below par, Gillespie - well below par, Gilchrist - misfiring, Clarke - half-crippled, McGrath - only 75% fit. That's not to detract from some excellent performances from Vaughanny and his lads - just pointing out some realities.

The next two test matches should be more than interesting!

we know and the aussies know that we would have won this test had it not been for the weather. we will be the team with the confidence still going into the next test

Oh, come on Rich. They're the best team in the world and they were fighting to save a draw.

They'd still roll over most sides, and we had 'em. Bloody weather and bloody Ricky Ponting.

    Great game.

Fair enough I just remember say at the time if we don’t declare so it will be a draw.

Whilst I am no cricket tactician, I never understand we sides to declare earlier and have a go at the opposition .

    Typical.

We do well and look for excuses as to why we did so.

    F**k me.

Gillespie must surely be replace in the next test ,

I dont know anything about the guy Tait they are touting for the spot. He must surely contribute more than Gillespie so I think another close battle ahead.
