No. The owners of violent dogs should be banged up. There are few 'bad' dogs. There are plenty of so called 'hard men' that like tough looking dogs to extend their small willies. Shoot these f*ckers first.
'all dogs should be shot. FACT.' All people who make ludicrous generalisations based upon stories that, although tragic in themselves, are seized upon by the papers in order to stir hostile opinion among the public in order sell papers should be shot. FACT
Gun license, jobs in politics and Pit Bull Terriers
99% ofall the peoplethat want them, should be bottom of the list to get them

Not trying to be funny but There are one or two incidents like this per year almost always the fault of human moronity There are hundreds of thousands of dogs that provide pleasure and companionship to millions of people not to mention working dogs be it on farms, guide dogs etc etc A child is killed by cars every other day (141 killed over 3000 seriously injured in 2005) banning cars from the roads is much more sensible than shooting all dogs.
Banning guns is a good one I wonder if Zucster can tell us what happened to gun crime since all the legal gun clubs etc were banned and how many of the crimes are comitted with licenced weapons by the licence owner? Clue gun crime hasn't gone down
RE: Gun license, jobs in politics 5th March!!
Handed my notice in a month ago as well. It's sooooooooo dull working such a long notice period.

You are starting to sound like a member of the NRA! You'll be watching Charlton Heston films and listening to Ted Nugent next!
LOL and No Its just that hastily written laws as a knee jerk reaction to some trajic event so politicians can be seen to be acting to solve problems which are infrequent but make big news almost always have the opposite effect to that intended
RE: Gun license, jobs in politics Trust you have a degree in business procrastination Stu. It'll come in handy. Oh and be prepared to be re-organised every 6 months (possibly into voluntary redundancy) and moved desks every 3.
At the height of the press Rottweiller hysteria....
...(following the release of the Omen films and subsequent rush to capitalise by irresposible back street breeders) only 11% of recorded dog attacks involved Rottweillers. This despite the fact that they were being bred by people with no knowledge of the breed, with no consideration given to temperament and bought by ignorant muppets the length and breadth of the country. To put that figure into perspective attacks by German Shepherds and terriers were both over 30% (at the time there was no mention of this in the press.)
Good to see that (mischief notwithstanding) common sense prevails here at least.

I'd say that 90% of crimes are comitted by people with illegal, imported or converted guns
I'm not against the licensing of guns because I see direct parallels withthe current dog control laws. Banning dangerous dogs doesn't work because Pitt Bulls (and other bannded breeds) just get imported as a slightly different breed and are wandering around this country happily without anyone being any the wiser. When I was at Uni, the bloke that sold me pot asked me if I wanted an illegal gun ... clearly he was showing off and acting the big man, but I soon found a different supplier.
Some gun crime has gone down though. Since they brought in mandetory higher sentencing for carrying guns all the London scally gansta youths have started stabbing and killing each other rather than shooting each other with illegal or converted weapons.
Stand by my comment though. Ifyou had to be interviewed to get a gun license/job in politics/Pitt Bull, then 99% of the people who applied ... I'd turn down

RE: At the height of the press Rottweiller hysteria.... Would just add to that that these incidents commonly occur when owners, or in the latest case owner's relatives, have the bright idea of keeping children and potentially dangerous dogs in the same house.
