    Hallfredsson move in doubt?

    News website Strill.it which has close ties to Reggina is reporting that Emil Hallfredsson has rejected the chance to join Barnsley and has opted to stay in Italy instead.

    Barnsley and Reggina reached an agreement on Emil joining the English club on loan last Thursday and it was expected that he would sign after Icelands games against Slovakia this Wednesday.

    Sources close to Fotbolti.net indicate that Italian Serie A club Chievo asked to negotiate the transfer of Hallfredsson last week.

    Fotbolti.net will continue to monitor this case closely but our firm sources say that Hallfredsson will join Barnsley this week as was expected.

    Seems to have the sort of pedigree to be a real star in this division. Even if he isn't a world-beater, having a competant natural left-sided player in the squad should make a big improvement.
