Airlines having a bad time at the moment thats 3 in the last week or so - An AirAsia plane crashed in Taiwan a couple of days ago with many dead and it sounds like this one has come down in bad weather as well. No comfort for anyone but as all 3 are completely unrelated its just a quirk of statistics that they all happened in a few days
Agreed Farnham. And all the hundreds of thousands of flights every day that don't get reported on cause nowt happens.
Ive booked a holiday thats what. Every time I book abroad they just start falling out the sky. Doesn't do the ticker any good...
I fly home from Zante in a couple of days so I'm not enjoying reading and watching the news right now.
If it cheers you up the odds of being killed in a plane crash are 1 in 4.7 million per flight , and if you avoid dodgy airlines they improve to 1 in 20million http://www.planecrashinfo.com/cause.htm So you should be fine
Well we made it back OK. To be honest I'm quite happy with plane travel as your post proves that it is a relatively safe form of travel.
I couldn't fly for years, but went on a course at Leeds Bradford and it pretty much cured me. Flying back from Spain on Tuesday and I'm not worried, given I couldn't even get on a plane five years ago I highly recommend it.
