What is it with this club and January? Seems every year we make poor decisions. When will we learn? What a massive confidence boost that must be for Sunderland & Portsmouth. Hope Kieffer makes a speedy recovery.
We will literally never learn. Just got to hope Woodrow, Thiam and the rest can chip in to make up for Kieffers absence. Problem is he offered more than just goals, we missed his presence at Pompey and apparently against Burton too.

Most of us said that we needed to sign a striker in January to assist with injuries, suspensions & loss of form - sadly, we didn’t. The irony is that we signed Miller but had to accept he had to stay at Bradford (thank you for a rubbish loan agreement, Boro) Kieffer’s health is most important!
Yea imho opinion, I think most of us accepted we needed a decent replacement at striker and keeper. This proves what we know that you need decent replacements in case of injuries etc. We have gambled here, we still may get away with it yet. What rankles with most.... is this was probably a financial decision and we had sold potts for decent cash. Oh well let's get behind em and hope we still have enough.
Probably already posted but we need to keep a bit of perspective, losing Kieffer is a blow but not a total disaster
What if we also get an injury to Woodrow? Stranger things have happened. Kieffer used to be the one who got manhandled by teams. That’s going to happen to Cauley now.
We should have paid more for Miller and bought out the loan deal with Bradford City instead of waiting to get him cheaper.
Fact we kept hold of likes of Moore makes it a decent window for me - foresight is a wonderful thing though I suppose. We've had goals from other areas so hopefully they can step up - our defensive record might be the factor that pushes us over the line.
Exactly the kind of post I've been waiting to see. A bit of positivity instead of Apocalypse Now. Moore's injury is a blow, but it's up to Stendel to shuffle the pack, pull out an ace, and keep things on track. A win at Southend will go a long way to settling the jitters.
Our record without Moore is good in full. Or we can look at it as one win in four and back to back blanks.
But in the games when Moore didn't play we averaged 2.6 points with Potts in the team. It's no good looking at stats now, we either will or won't win games. It all comes down to how the team perform on the park.
