Or perhaps just a crazy idea of mine... but how about Sami Hyypiä? He's obviously still quite inexperienced as a manager; there's only a relatively successful 2-year spell at Bayer Leverkusen followed by a disastrous six months at Brighton on his manager CV, but I believe that there's potential in him (not that I really know much about football) unless it's just the Finnish media that has hyped him up too much. There may still be some bigger teams that might be interested in Hyypiä, but I can't really see where he could possibly go next. Going back to Finland would be a career suicide. There might be some smaller clubs in Holland and Germany, but I wonder if any of them are looking for a manager right now. Hyypiä is known to love English football, but after the failure at Brighton any of the bigger (than us) clubs may want to stay away from him, so why not Barnsley? What do you think? On a scale of 1 to 10, how stupid is this idea?
Non-starter for meTomi, unfortunately for him his Brighton experience will scare clubs away. So I guess it's a 2 out 10 from me.
Fair enough, but would anyone with a decent record actually want to join us? We may need to take a gamble like this if we want to move forward.
I like the fact that he looks like a baddie from a James Bond film other than that it's a meh from me.
