Seems we have done it again at Oakwell, turned a positive into a negative. After we beat Liverpool we had worldwide positive publicity, a team of heroes, superstar keeper, 11th hour super signing etc etc, we were on the crest of a wave. We welcome Chelsea and again play superb, yet more positive PR, again globally but in the press and media it comes across that everyone not a fan of WBA, Pompey or Cardiff is actually now a Barnsley fan. Great !! all these positive thoughts thanks to two gutsy performances, Barnsley well and truly on the map and now the nations/housewives favourite team. Luke steele played heroicly at anfield and deserves his plaudits but so do the rest of the team, however the events of the last few days are surely bad PR. We dont know all the ins and outs of the problem but now the media are reporting heartache for Steel and end of his FA cup dream. We could turn into the least favourite team and start to be hated. I dont want that, I like the fact my team is well loved as it has been more so in the last few weeks. I am not saying we should go out there and sign steel, Iwould be delighted if we did, but surely we could do something from a PR point of view to stop this negative coverage we are starting to get and which will no doubt snowball as the days go by. (chinny) (chinny) (chinny)
Your not saying we should go out there and sign LS, but would like to stop the bad publicity its creating by not signing him? WBA are obviously making some demands not acceptable to BFC. No one knows what they are, and the roumours on here are exactly that. For their Chairman to come out to the press regards the deal they have offered is unprofessional and we have created none of the media attention surrounded the current.
It is as much bad PR for West Brom. Anyway i do not see it as such. It is good business to keep costs down. Do you want us to head for administration?again.
least favourite team and hated after a dour one nil win and a game of spoiling, fouling and negative clock running down tactics. Yes please.
