The logical conclusion of our hair-trigger hire and fire regime.

Boat load of loan signings in September, anyone?

It could go either way I think. I am hoping that we have a few deals lined up for 3/4 good quality additions in the mould of O'Sullivan/Balatoni etc and they iwll now come in that we have shifted a few out. However, I'm not holding my breath. It would be pretty bizarre if we bring a load of loans in considering how much rhetoric there has been about a strategy of buying players with "resale" value. I suspect that Bailey is on a wedge so we could do with getting rid of him too.

We're Fu'cked pal, but now is not the time to be moaning, that was a month or two ago, now is the time to knuckle under and accept it, it's too late now.

It was confirmed today that the famous phrase about there being two certainties in life has been amended to 'there are now three certainties in life':

Death, taxes and Barnsley FC sacking a manager.

Well, I was completely wrong. The loan panic came in August, not September.

These are far from panic loans.

Don't you honestly think it's a poor strategy to loan so many players so early? Or indeed rely on players who can be removed at any point. It feels daft to me.

And it runs in direct opposition to what we were told the "strategy" was.

As far as people know, we may have been tracking these players for months. I know they go against our strategy but if they improve the team surely that's more important i.e get us promoted

If we get promoted via play-offs we get £3 million quid, that would bring a Pearson to the club permanently

I dont think it does. We have seen that loanees have been part of LJ (and danny's) so hence the club strategy. Also they have been a key part of the successful teams getting promotion in L1 and Championship. In fact now a big part of the Prem.

Preston only used 6 loans with I think 4 of these coming in November or later.
Mk dons used 10 in total but only 2 of these were at the beginning of the season, the rest being short term deaks in January or later to strengthen their promotion push
Bristol city only used 4 loans last season, all in the latter parts of the season.

We have used more loans already than the three promoted sides combined had used last season by November.

The idea that loans are a big part of getting promoted from league one appears to be quite false.

By the way I have taken the information from transfermarkt so if I've got anything wrong I apologise

Its not what your post says. Sounds like some used loans well. I dont classify the more the better BTW, but a good selection of loans to integrate works well. Using loans is important. using the right ones in the right way is even more so.
