Have we not got enough young defenders already ? Waste of money by our club and not a good move. They seem to think quantity over quality. We will NOT stay up with a bunch of loaned kids that don't have the first idea about what got us in this league or what we are about. "Experienced defender" cannot be too hard to understand surely ?
Can't we reserve judgement until we have actually seen him play?? The lad may be only 18 but he already has championship and international experience (albeit with Wales). I know things aren't exactly going to plan at the moment, but do we really want to see the side relegated or are we going to start backing them? I know its a different kettle of fish but we didn't expect to stay up in the Premiership, but I will never forget singing 'we are going to win 7-6' when we were 6-0 down at Old Trafford, we were commended everywhere we went on our support for OUR TEAM. The hierarchy and management may have changed, and I am as dissillusioned as the next man, but they are our team, lets get behind them.
Agree 100% give the lads a chance, OK it's not like watching Brazil but its still the super Reds. We need to get the whole of Oakwell behind the team and the manager, save the moaning until the end of the season.
You've every reason to be pissed off with the way things are... but slagging off signing before you've even seen him? FFS.
Bloke I work with ... ... Derby season ticket holder & was a very decent player. His opinion is as follows: (1) Very accomplished for 18 years old. (2) Made a few errors when Davies first came in. (3) Lightning quick. (4) One of the few prospects, Barnes aside, they haven't totally got rid of. (5) Should do a job for us. (6) Good at left back too. I'll wait until I see the lad play before I judge him. Would've been nice to have some more defenders for the start of the season though.
We've all known that we've been short of a defender or two all season Its about time we did something about it. Good hire that one.
Very true. I'd have signed the biggest, ugliest two b4stards to play at the back the minute we left Cardiff. Basically - Jay & Dirk on stilts. I like his first name. Lewin. It's like a Lewis / Kevin hybrid. All the culture of a Lewis, but with the grit & determination of a Kevin (not Donovan).
I agree lets see the lad play first and ok we are having a shocker at moment but nows the time we need to GET BEHIND our team lets work together and keep us in the championship uuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeddddddddddddddsssssssssssss.
