    If i cancel...
do i get to keep the sky HD box?
if so, will any of the channels still work
will it still be able to record and playback
I have 2 other TVs in the house taking their freeview aerial feed from the box (some sort of voltage feed output on the box goes to a 4 way splitter outside which then feeds to the other TVs). I guess this will still work if the box is still there, but if the box goes, is there any other way to replicate what i have.

    TIA

You keep the box and it effectively becomes another freeview box. We had a multiroom subscription for a year on offer which we took to get a free hd box upstairs. Cancelled it after 12 months and can watch all the freeview channels no problems. The Sky+ facility will work fine too

Why not just buy a second hand box off eBay? Be a bit cheaper than a year multiroom subscription

If you know someone with sky you can ask them to pay for multi room then pay them for it and take the viewing card for your box! My mate does it and pays about £10 per month or whatever it is and gets full package, don't think he can use playback though.

Doesn't the card have to be linked to the box serial number though?

Or you could see my post on the other sky thread, do a bit of research and get sky tv with all premium and ppv channels for about 40 quid per year + cost of box

I never fancy 2nd hand owned technology and I trust e-bay even less than sky. Add to that the deal was insanely cheap (way less than full ticket price) and they fit it all and upgraded the box downstairs and it worked out really good value.

Just pulling yer leg. ( I know, im not very funny)
Do you know if the sky box would be a better option than the android tv box ? I know that with the android tv there's no annual fee to pay or dish required.

Never heard of the android tv box but If it doesn't use a sky dish then it must stream via Internet so depends on connection. The skybox or dream box as often called recieved the channels via satalite dish just like sky therefore recieved perfect HD. It uses Internet connection to decode the encrypted channels. That what the yearly subscription is for

if you were to go on eBay and search F5 skybox some would say + gift for x months. The gift is the cline to decode the channels
