Apologies for this being non-football, but no "off-topic" forum like on TykesMad.

I have an I-Pad 3, but it's a right f*cker to get it to player downloaded (legally, honest) movies files as you have to convert them to the correct format, is there an app. that will simply play any video file no matter which type it is or the codec it requires? Doesn't matter if it costs a few bob. It will make travelling back from long away games (eg Brighton on Saturday) much shorter.

    Any input greatfully received.

I haven't got an Ipad but try downloading VLC media player from the appstore, it should play pretty much anything.

Get avplayerhd from the app store. Will play avi, mkv, mpeg4 all with no conversion.

Install the app, connect iPad to pc then click on apps on the iPad in iTunes, scroll down and you will see the app there and you can drag and drop files to it
