That was one hell of an unproffesional performance from the team
From the start there was no urgency and the players that started the match were looking at one another as tho they had never played in the same team before
It was a disgrace and an embarrassment to the town of Barnsley thet it was shown on television
Anthony Kay should be dropped immediately. I have always been a fan of his but he is now the weak link at the back
Before bringing a new attacking midfielder in on loan we need at least one more central defender
There needs to be more competition, other than Atkinson, for places here
Couple Kays performance with powder puff strikers, and what do you expect from the match - nothing
And thats what we got - nothing.
Great cross by Devaney in the first half.................again as per usual - NO ONE THERE IN THE MIDDLE

Also Togwell had an off game - although he his still one of our better players

The two Hungarians. The smaller of the two showed one or two good touches when he came on. The taller one didn't get into the game, although it didn't help him that Richards was on the pitch at the same time. God only knows why Davey did this.
The two Hungarians need to be on from the start and they need to be told by the management of the club what their roles are, because against Cardiff they didn't seem to know and were wandering about all over the pitch.

    In a nutshell..............POOR

And if we continue to play with:

    1) Kay
    2) Powder puff attack
    3) No urgency
    4) Lack of organisation

    Then its relegation

We need you guarantee relegation in order for us to avoid it.

much like your non-promotion rant last season.

The second goal was ultimatly colgan's fault as he was positioned terrible for the freekick and I think it's also worth pointing out the fact that it was only due to reid's poor positioning that kay had to make the challenge in the first place.

First goal was a stupid mistake from kay but then, yet again, awful positioning after the ball had gone in. Hassell didnt know which man to mark and nobody helped out at the back post.

It's ok blaming one player for making a mistake because he is a defender but then I would like to say kay 2 Richards 0 as his shocking miss denied us a goal.

    The second goal

Ok, Kay for giving the freekick away, but you could also blame Hasell not getting onto the line, and Marc Richards' who was in the wall. Has he jumped, I'm sure he'd have prevented the goal.

Did not Colgan slip, have to ***** himself up and try to get to the far post? What is the matter with BFC players and studs in their boots?

He dived for the initial shot from Chopra which then got deflected

    Even Blackwell said

That Kay didn't even try to get in a tackle when running back
And thats after he put Chopra in on goal after he had made his wishy washy header
All we saw was a fat arse waddle back towards goal

I bet other supports in the relegation fight were howling (babyhaha) (babyhaha) (babyhaha)

**** other supports laughing, don't give a toss about them. What annoys me is certain fans on here who are quick to moan about the team................ Moaned on Tuesday after a 2.0 WIN, moan last night after a 2.0 LOSS.

Kay had a bad night and the Hungarians will need some time to settle in properly. If you really thought we would get something at Cardiff (or worse if you expected us to get something at Cardiff) you're seriously deluded. There is no point getting hysterical about it. Last night went to the book - our less than adequate defence versus a striker we all know and love, Chopra did the business, we couldn't come up with the answers. Let's get back to the long term plan and focus on the games we should win in order to stay up.

I now realise you know 2 things about football.... NOTHING & F'UCK ALL

the team played well last night and were not deserving a defeat.A draw would have been a fair result. We performed as well as them and for long periods better.

Cardiff on Friday were a poor side............they were there for the taking

We made them look better than they are
They had two players, Chopra and a winger, the others were poor
    Like I said;
    more urgency
    more organisation
    different starting front two
    replacement for Kay

And we would have beaten Cardiff

the team played well last night and were not deserving a defeat........Cardiff 2 Barnsley 0

    Results dont lie.
Cardiff in the second half sat back because they could see Barnsley had got nothing
Cardiff showed what they could do in the first 20 minutes of the match - even tho that wern't up to much
But during that 20 minute spell Barnsley were playing as tho they had gone for a kick about in the local rec.
Lack of urgency and lack of organisation comes down to one man - Davey
Cannot blame Davey (not yet any way) for Kay and the starting line up of powder puff strikers

    RE: The second goal

i agree with the comment that if richards had jumped he could have prevented the goal. instead he looked like he was scared to death and just pulled a face and turned his head away. what is the point of the wall if they basically duck to avoid the ball. they may aswell not bother standing there at all!

we did put in a decent effort. was a very fast pace game and apart from some stupid and costly mistakes we tried hard. against a different team the result might have been very different
