It's interesting that a lot of clubs in our division have already announced their released players list. The fact that we haven't and also that the announcement about kay was "he has played his last game THIS SEASON" could mean we are still considering offering him a deal. Would we have announced we were letting him go ny now? I for one would like to see him stay, (along with Howard, Nardiello) and although at one point I thought there was no chance, now i am not so sure
We have a pretty small senior squad To be fair, there isn't a lot to be trimmed away. I think a fair few of those clubs you refer to will be getting rid of surplus playing staff (plus the usual selection of crocks and high earners they can no longer afford to keep). I don't feel we are in that sort of situation. Oddly, it is the signings that Simon himself has made who are not figuring. Simon needs to keep his options open - but he'll be well aware that (in an ideal world) most of his players will need to be replaced.
so what we all said this time last year still stands for the Champiosnhip we need at least one new centre half - hopefully Nyatanga on a season's loan
Bit funny that mate........ Cos reidy was on pitch before West Brom game, while lads was training, surely if Davey didnt want him surely he would not let him be part of first team squad.
.......on his way. Jarman & Laight released. Harban kept for another year. Is that owt to do with his father, the club doctor? Both McCrory's kept. That owt to do with their father being summat to do with Enterprise, a club sponsor. Positions and money talks at the expense of players who have worked hard (Tonge, Wroe, Laight, Jarman. Beeveor).
RE: Paul Reid to leave in summer Thought he had another year left on his contract and was happy to stay at Oakwell.
RE: Paul Reid to leave in summer Theres some right ******** on this board. Reid's had a toe injury for ages, been having injections to get through games. We didnt realy need to risk him at WBA, plus it gave Davey another chance to look at Atkinson & give Potter a game.
I'm pretty sure he's made it clear him and his family are very settled I think he's been on record saying he'd be happy to stay as long as he's wanted. Whilst we all know he makes mistakes, he'll always be good cover, and he's still improving having only just made the step up along with most other players.
Paul Reid Staying For Next Season Fact!!! All so right and he loves playing for us as well. I look forward to him being part of the squad next season.
RE: Paul Reid Staying For Next Season Fact!!! How do you know. I wish folk would prove how they know. Back up their stories etc.
it may find a few people out! i spoke to this player blah blah ***** that everyone seems to go on about
