CLARK OPTS FOR SPECIAL KAY http://www.htafc.com/page/NewsDetail...664624,00.html Town boss Lee Clark has fought off competition from several Championship and League One clubs to capture Tranmere midfielder Antony Kay on a two-year deal. The 26-year old won the Supporters' Player of the Year award at the Wirral-based outfit this season after netting twelve goals from central midfield and has agreed to join Town on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract. Kay started his football career as a centre-back at hometown club Barnsley, making his professional debut against Norwich City in August 2000 before going onto play almost 200 times for the South Yorkshire club. He scored the decisive penalty in the Tykes' League One Play-Off Final victory over Swansea City in the 05/06 season - having impressed during their two-legged semi-final win over Town - and was vice captain at Oakwell in their following season in the Championship.

There turning into the new Scunny... After all our rejects . Hayes was there on loan wasn't he, before he signed for Scunny. Robbie Williams' still there isn't he and now Antony Kay.
RE: There turning into the new Scunny... Could be in with a chance next season if they sign a few decent players, meant to be spending quite a bit this summer if i'm lead to believe. They were meant to be faviourites for this seasoon and they failed so who knows.
Hope they go up. Be like an home match for me to go to. Definately underachieved last season with the squad they have.
RE: I wouldn't turn up on Saturday if I were you... nt Good point Jonners. Where is that Fecking edit post button when you need it?
