Is anyone else having more trouble than usual with ants this year? I thought I'd found the problem area just outside and heavily ant-powdered the area. They have since moved further down the exterior wall and keep finding 'new' dens. We have more of the winged variety now too and over the past 2-3 weeks I'm getting pretty hacked off with them now.

I've seen quite a few people on facebook with similar problems. Was walking through town after work one day last week and saw hundreds of them.

Yes I almost posted on here a few weeks ago. Always seen the off few outside bit this year for the first time in 8 years since the house was built we are getting then inside and no amount of powder and them gel things are making any difference. They are taking over the kitchen and driving us mad.

my mam and dad are also getting them inside this year for the first time in 35 years that they have lived in their house.

they are doing my head in :)

There's loads in my garden in Dodworth and they seem to follow me everywhere. I went to Germany a couple of weeks ago and when I got there the b@stards had followed me all the way there.

It happened once the other way round with a pair of mallards who were swimming around on our pond in Germany in the back garden. After the flight home to Dodeth I saw the mallards on our garden pond here. I had a window seat and I could have sworn I saw them following the plane.
