Visiting Antwerp in October for some gig, no idea who, I just paid for the tickets. Is Belgium really as boring as everybody claims?
Antwerp is lovely, hundreds of different beers to try plus loads of different lagers to try also there's loads of different ales to try.
Great beer as mentioned above but I did find it boring. Everything seemed to open late and close early when we were there (2003). Edit - Brussels / Bruge, not been to Antwerp.
Belgium is really good. Not been to Antwerp though. Cracking beer. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Lived there for 6 months back in the early 90s, been back quite a few times. Antwerp is a brilliant city; beautiful architecture, great beer, friendly people.
Talking of football in Belgium. We stayed in the Heysel Hotel and had a kick about on the Heysel Stadium pitch, which was just over the road, at about 3am. Just walked in as it was open.
Some great bars, great beer, great chips, Dutch stag destination, we went a few years ago and will definitely go back
Was there a couple of weeks back. If you're driving over there, traffic can be a nightmare. Took over 2 hours to do a 40 minute journey to the airpoprt. I didn't get to see a great deal of the city but what I saw did look nice.
Driving to the hotel then ditching the car before driving home a couple of days later, so hopefully won't be too bad!
I've been to Belgium a few times and it's laid back heaven. The ale is strong as fook do god knows why it's that laid back. 4 pints of leffe etc and tarn would all be scrapping eachother!
That's quite a way out of the central parts; groenplatz etc. Public transport is good. Museums worth visiting, just pleasant to wander round.
