they phoned me the other day and said that as my subscription was coming to an end would i like to resubscribe for another year. I politely pointed out to them that i didnt have a subscription and hadnt had one since they completely failed to offer any customer support 2 years ago.

basically means the score will be shown and the occasional update from the ground. It says it at the top of every match preview.
I think it means they have a reporter at the match. They'll have regular updates from him on BBCi (red button on Freeview, I think its that Score programme with Ray Stubbs, Carton Palmer etc.) Most of the Championship matches are "featured on BBCi" and therefore have a reporter.
