Running a Mazda BT50 (basically a Ford Ranger with a Jap badge on) that has developed an intermittent start.

It cranks over ok but doesn't fire so I'm not thinking any ignition or battery problems.

It starts with a squirt of brake fluid/easy start up its hooter and then runs fine, no miss or loss of power so I'm not thinking injectors or overall compression problems.

High pressure and engine fuel pumps are ok and the fuel pressures are all good.

I'm left with the rail fuel regulator or the rail pressure sensor or perhaps the return valve.

Only problem is I can't seem to buy the bits individually only as a complete Bosch rail.

Any ideas if I'm on the right lines with my diagnosis or if you can by the bits separately?

    Thanks in advance.

Plugs are good and fuel filter changed and I did add some Wurth fuel additive to clean any sh*t out.
