Nowt's sacred... witparasiticflashinpanexcuseforabandart Was it McFly who played at the Tory party conference? Proper punk, that...
thing is though, they aren't butchering that song. They're covering it (badly) but that doesnt take anything away from the original.
Butchering the memory mate, butchering the memory. Imagine all the young kids out there who are going to be assuming this version is the original, doesn't bear thinking about.

Bluebird old bean ?............... Am i right in thinking that the bloke 'saluting' the goalkeeper is Robin Friday? A legend in his own time methinks? Did you ever see him play?
bloody hell, dont believe it, not heard his name mentioned for years and today i was telling my mate at work about hearing re the new Graham Poll autobiography and he said he is currently reading a book on Friday, cue a long discussion along the lines of the welsh Georgie Best etc
RE: Bluebird old bean ?............... You are quite correct, it is Robin Friday and yes, I saw him play during his short spell at Cardiff - including the game against Luton in that picture. Think that's when he developed legendary status tbh. Brilliant player, all the skill in the world, but headshot. His book is "The greatest player you never saw - the Robin Friday Story" btw - someone mentioned it below
