Any guys possibly help regarding a Samsung tv i have just set up?

    Only a fleeting visit before i get any abuse.


    Just set up a new tv i have purchased,tuned it in and followed the onscreen instuctions but i now have writing down the side and along the bottom that keeps coming on then going off.(call centre advice service is shut)


    Any helpfull advice would be truly appreciated(and would also help silence a nagging woman).

    What does the writing say? and is it completely randomly, at regular intervals or when you do something?

    lcd full hd 1080
    series 5
    Samsung crystal tv
    all share
    movie
    HDMI x 4

    and along the bottom

    freeview,soarview,CI+,DVB (digital video broadcasting)

    Comes on for about 20 seconds then goes off for about 20 seconds.

    Sounds like you might be in store demo mode still. Try going into the menu and looking for a way to switch to 'home' mode.

    Cannot find it on menu.
    Might have to reset everything again and retry.
