if at the end of the course you can do everything on that list to a good standard you will be better than the NVQ level 3 Joiner i have working for me..

it sounds like a good place to start if your considering Joinery as a profession, my apprentice is coming to the end of his second year at college and still doesn't have a clue about scribes.

    Thanks for that Fishy...

Is it a bit unrealistic to be a good standard at all that then in such a short period of time (10 days?) - if your apprentice cant do it well after almost two years?

He has only worked for me for 4 days so far. so not sure what he has learnt in 2 years at college, his course tutor was out on site today taking pictures of work i had done and passing it off at his.

If that course teaches you how to set out a stud wall and doing scribes on skirting in 10 days i would say go for it. definitely a good place to start off.
