Fcukin gutted!im on call today so cant get togame.been seeing some of you lot putting streams on for live barnsley games
Fairly sure it's not being properly covered. Just the single-camera jobbie for the FLS round-up. When they've got the full rig there we usually get the feeds coming in at work, but it's not appeared on any of the tech sheets. Think Forest-Brighton is today's Championship feature game.
Is there any reason why the coverage is so ***** Micky? And seemingly biased towards the southern clubs, especially Brighton? It's an absolute joke, it really is.
You have to admit Forest v Brighton will be a bigger draw to viwers than a derby between the 4th and 5th bottom teams.
It is mate, agreed, but I thought they usually had a few games. I am talking about historically though, they seem to get a nosebleed if they go north of the Watford Gap.
I don't disagree! The FLS isn't actually made by us. IMG put it together at their London studios. We have an exec editor role on it, but I'm not actually sure how closely it's watched by those that have any say. I'm sure we're not the only set of fans who feel we get hard done by on the show. My main gripe is the production values and quality of the edits - they're *****!!
No, it doesn't look like it. It would be scheduled here if it was. Bookmark this link for future reference, it's very handy. http://www.footballstreaming.info/streams/todays-links/
well on the plus side if the match ain't on I can always try for a love buddy!! -ahhhh makes no sense now that ads not been round afgain
Ahh see what you did there! It was a chubby bird when on it, then it turned into a load of BANKING ADS!
Assuming from the context that you work on the FLS, I'd like to know the reason for the other week when you lot decided to put out the Barnsley game without anyone talking over it. I put a complaint into the BBC and just got a reply along the lines of "oh yeah we forgot" seems insane that theres such awful 1- contempt for Barnsley FC to not bother putting it on and 2- quality control in not checking the footage before broadcast.
I don't work on the show. I work for BBC Sport. The FLS is made for us by an independent company, IMG. We do have some overall editorial control, but I think they're pretty much left to get on with it. No excuses for the **** reply you got to your complaint, but I can assure you there is no "contempt" for us or any other club and the missing commentary would have been a technical error - nothing more sinister than that. Edits are done on AVID or FCP in a tapeless environment, meaning you have huge computers shunting round data. It's not uncommon for media (sound/vision/graphics/whatever) to go offline in this situation, but it should have been spotted before the 'finished' package was pushed to the transmission area. Not trying to excuse what was a really crass mistake, but just to emphasise there is no conspiracy theory against Barnsley!! Shame on the duty office monkey who dealt with your complaint mind...
Ah thanks for a much better explanation! Makes a lot more sense that way. Must be very interesting working at BBC sport.
