That don't cost the earth want a gig.

I'm chairman of Fev Lions rugby club and we have our First Open age NCL game on 16th March and we were thinking about having a band on afterwards.

Preferably covers, Rock/indie stuff, though don't mind the odd song of their own thrown in.

thing is club was left in a right state last year before we took it on so we're not exactly loaded. Was looking to pay up to £200 at a push . So May suit a young/new band trying to get a gig. Some of the quotes we have had from established bands are way out of our price range.

I know its Featherstone but we're not a million miles away

if your interested or know someone who might be please pm me or post below

    cheers

Why don’t you ask the Reytons to do it. They have a thing going on their website at the minute

Yeah it was I've asked him. He's messaged them, but they are excellent and probably out of our price range or booked up.

probably a couple of hundred. Maybe squeeze a bit extra. But at moment money is tight, we're not selling tickets or owt it's just to try and keep more folk in bar after a game or get a few more down, so don't know how it's gonna go. If it's good we might do more regular and pay more

I think you're asking a lot to get a band to travel, bring their own gear set up perform pack up & travel home for £50 each.

An established one yes. But I'm sure there are young bands crying out for things like this. It gives em a chance to perform in front of an audience.

We have a similar thing at my cricket club - when you're booking a 4 or 5 piece the price goes up, and rightly so.

We've ended up with a couple of duos this year - they usually charge 200/250 for 2 of them.

We just did a few Facebook searches and sent a few messages out.

    Good luck!

yeah that's what we were after really a young or new band wanting an audience.

We have booked someone now called Feel Good Foundation. Who are doing it a lot less than normal for us.

The band Kiz is talking about are Pretty Mafia who are very good and would have done it for £300 but one of their band members is away. Think we might book them as a ticketed event. They played my sons 18th for nowt

    How times have changed.
In the early sixties you could have had our 5 piece for £6.
A £1 each and a £1 for petrol and a Chinese takeaway on the way home.

You may be struggling to get a band for your budget mate' you'll probably be looking at a solo singer or maybe a duo' hope you get sorted...
