Most MP's love it getting a word in at PMQT. Be great to hear Eric or somebody stand up and ask 'does the right honourable gentleman agree that this nation's football governing body are a right bunch of spineless cnuts'. Well, obviously I doubt he'd say 'cnuts', but '*****' would do.</p>

Seriously, though, has anyone mooted the idea of lobbying the MP? It would raise the profile, if nowt else.

    Not a constituent, sadly.

I'm sure if someone popped along to a surgery with evidence of the petition, the online polls and a rational summary of what's gone on so far, they'd get a good hearing.

I'm not also see above.........post.....................this is a really good idea....believe me once the politicians get involved some weight is posted behind the case........I speak from personal experience.

I'm sure if we on here could put up a reasoned case it would be taken forward...........

    It just needs

A couple of lucid, rational types (that narrows it down!) to arrange an appointment with Eric at his next surgery. Take with you all the press cuttings andonline articles that support Hume and pillory Morgan/Sheff Utd/the FA (which, let's face it, is pretty much all of them.) Take some stats about the petition and online polls, with links to them so Eric can see for himself how at odds the FA are with the rest of the world. Photos of Hume post-surgery might swings things a little as well. There's no way whatsoever that the subject would get debated or anything, but just the very fact of Eric raising the issue at the end of PMQT, or speaking to the Sports Minister (or whatever they call it these days) means it is ON RECORD and can only highlight even further this huge injustice.

Eric Illsley was at the game

I did write to him, not got the mail here but in essence he said it was down to the FA of BFC to take action.

Not sure what his oppinion is now.

Probably get more millage on the Police inactivity

    Dear Mr MP

Can you comment on why the government agency "The Police" has chosen to do **** all about a common assault that took place in front of 10,000 plus witnesses all willing to testify against the perp.

i trust you'll be taking south yorkshire's chief constable to task over this high profile case.

Last week in Huddersfield (St.Andrews Road) two police cars plus West yorkshire's finest were stopping commercial vehicles to check whether they had 'no smoking' stickers in their cabs!!!!!
