Looks like I am going to be spending time in Norway later this month

easiest way to get to the place I will be working is a train from Oslo airport

Do you usually need to book in advance -reserve seats etc or can you just turn up get a ticket from a machine and get on

the train type is billed as an NSB Regiontog on the noway rail page

    Airport is 35km from Oslo

Train is the best bet, goes every 10-15 minutes and takes about 15 into Oslo. Would advise staying in the center of Oslo otherwise you'll be bored stiff in the evenings.

    Wen are you over?

    Not staying in Oslo

Working in a place called Skoppum which is in the middle of nowhere south of Oslo there is 1 train an hour there from Oslo airport - just wondering if I need to book or whether you just turn up.

Nearest places are Horten and Tonsberg - its 2 hours from Oslo airport by train - actually closer to Torp/Sanderford airport but I'm not trecking round to Stansted and Flying Ryanair at 6:30 am thanks

Looks like I will be there for a couple of weeks 2nd half of Jan to start with though I am coming home at the weekend this time will probably be back again in Feb ...and March for some weeks

Did a trip once before there and stayed in Horten - you are right bugger all there
