Notice on the BBC it reports Leon Osman wasn't offered a deal at Bolton this week

personally I'd go with what we have and use the kids if needs be.

It puts things into perspective doesn't it mate?

He's probably on as much as most of our squad put together.

The funniest thing is that folk on 300 quid a week are still expected to contribute..

That article was from 16 months ago, so he might have had a pay cut since then, down to £65,000 or so, which of course would make it very reasonable.

Just to pass the time, £75,000 per week is £10,714 per day, £446 per hour, £7.44 per minute and 12p per second. However, that includes leisure time, so the true figures will be far higher.

I've no idea how many hours a footballer actually "works", but I'm guessing it's about 25 per week. If so the figures work out at £3000 per hour, £50 per minute, 83p per second.

Football is great, I'm going to get Sky re-installed and contribute my £130 per month to help with the footballers' wages fund.

Absolutely. I'm disappointed that we didn't give Fulham enough of a game as we had too many players not at it but there comes a point where you just hope we can do enough to stay up given the massive inequalities.

I hope the club keep trying to win games. I've enjoyed the football more in the last 6 months than at any point in the last 10 years. I'd be gutted to go down of course but if we do let's go down knowing we tried to win games and entertain rather than boring our way to it. It's not the end of the world.

I would say that perhaps we need to recruit a bit better next time but hey ho.

Would be nice to have more quality in depth, but the Moncur situation begs the question of would decent players want to come and not play regularly? More importantly, can we afford to pay good wages to have people in she squad but not necessarily regular starters.

Always money at this level mate, unfortunately.

Unfortunately those days are gone when you could bring in players in the twilight of their career and get a good few seasons out of them.

The likes of Clarke, Hunter, Neil Thompson and Super John would all have made enough money not to be arsed in today's environment.

Well, now I am inevitably losing a bit of pace, I suppose I could drop back and do a job. But i don't do tackling and if i can see the goal, i just shoot, so don't expect too many passes from me. :)
