Only our football club as sold out of coach tickets over 2 days before the game YET AGAIN!!!!! Don't they want our fans to go and support the lads???
O'Dwyers and Rising Sun (Sheffield Road) are doing buses for tommorrow. Not sure of the phone numbers though, sorry!
Rising Sun .......set off 9am ............... ...... numbers are Cuz on 07756 107654 or Blue on 07775 618777. Three buses on but they might be full now and if they are I doubt they will put another on. Never travel with official coaches but it's disgusting that they don't meet the demands of the supporters to travel away, it's their job to get as many fans there as possible, and they can stand making a loss on one half full bus a lot more than the pub buses can, crap customer service by BFC, again
How many official coaches are going? Far as I was aware, they were doing a good job this time around and still have tickets available. Might be wrong though.
No idea, according to the original post they have sold out ..... ........ 2 days before the game and are not putting more coaches on. Was the same for Charlton, we (Rising Sun) ran 2 but could have run at least 4 with all the calls we got from the Weds morning (day after the Bristol City game) to as late as 11pm on the Friday night. Most people were ringing in desperation to get transport to the match because the club had 'sold out' and would not put extra coaches on, even though they are the 'official' coaches and have a duty to provide enough transport for all the fans who want to go. Most of the pubs coaches (Rising Sun, O'dwyers, Hoyland Reds) had also sold out from about Thursday, but daren't risk putting another coach on in case it ended up being half full. The laughable thing is the club wanted to take this job on but don't seem too interested in making a proper go of it, especially at a time when we are doing well (Monday apart!) and interest in travelling away is on the up again.
RE: No idea, according to the original post they have sold out ..... The original post says with two days to go, but at the time of the post the match was less than a day away. Charlton, they sold out on the wednesday and so had the rest of that day and two more days to put on another coach. I know of this as I managed to get my mate on the O Dwyers coach on the thursday, which sold out on the friday because another mate wanted to go on it. Official transport to away matches is something that always comes up, but people never bring up at supporter meetings.
Ring Gary who sorts the coaches for O’Dwyers. He does a good job. Knowing all the coaches where sold out for Charlton he booked another at 5:30 pm after knowing plenty of people where still wanting to go. If you don’t have his number ring O’Dwyers. The coaches are into Loughborough for a few drinks before the match and are £13. That’s if there’s any left.
club coaches why leave until last minute to try to book Why do people leave it until the last minute to book a seat then complain when they have sold out. Coaches cost a lot of money to book, the club rightly need to ensure that they do not make a loss on the books, the coaches also need stewarding The football club will book coaches based on recent requirements, previous years and estimated attendances, also there is knowledge that other groups book coaches. THe club also have a contract with Gordons, a lot depends on coach availability. At Charlton, common sense said that to put an extra bus on with a day to go, if ticket sales and demand did not warrent at that point was a mistake. Leicester coaches sold out today (Friday) so at this late stage it was probably not possible to get a coach, driver and steward. Also a 50 seater coach for maybe 10 people, not viable and the club would take a loss of over £400. Book your tickets early then its no problem, coach tickets do not normally sell out that early, and if they do sell out a week early the club will get extra coaches. Supply and demand
